INTRO:
This CD compilation is the result of the hard work of members of the Studebaker Internet Club (SIC). The SIC began rather informally. Visitors of the Usenet discussion group- alt.autos.studebaker- wanted to form a new chapter- comprised of internet savvy Studebaker enthusiasts. Because of the Studebaker Drivers Club by-laws, the SIC could not officially be recognized as an SDC Chapter- (due to our presence only in cyberspace). However, the SIC is a Studebaker Drivers Club Inc. ® Board-recognized entity. We abide by the same rules and regulations as any SDC Chapter.
PROJECT:
The members of our club wanted to do something for the Studebaker Community. The wealth of technical knowledge available on alt.autos.studebaker was often enhanced by the original documentation Studebaker provided to it's dealers. These included Shop Manuals, Parts Manuals, Service Bulletins and Service Letters. Shop manuals and Parts manuals have been reprinted- and are a must-have for the do-it-yourself Studebaker Owner. However, the Service Letters and Service Bulletins contain many updates and running line-changes not normally found in the manuals. The SIC decided to gather this documentation- and find a way to share it with the other Studebaker Enthusiasts.
RESULTS:
Original Studebaker Service Bulletins were collected, assembled, scanned, and converted to a suitable format for this CD. We endeavored to assemble the most complete project as possible. We hope you find the information contained on this CD to be helpful and informative.
